Funny Bnha Fight Moments Deku Vs Shota

Midoriya Izuku has wanted to follow in the footsteps of his hero All Might for years, but his path to doing so has come with quite a few bumps in the road. After all, it's not easy being the successor to the Symbol of Peace. Though he has All Might's powers, he still hasn't even come near mastering them, and neither his school U.A. or the villains that have surfaced are interested in making things easier on him.

That said, Deku's managed to handle everything tossed his way so far. So for this list, we're looking at ten of the best fights that My Hero Academia's lead hero has been in.

10 VS. HITOSHI SHINSO

Anime Midoriya-vs-Hitoshi-Shinso

After making it through the first two rounds of the U.A. Sports Festival, Deku found himself in a tournament. Given he has to make it through multiple rounds, he's forced to figure out ways to win without using his powers and destroying himself.

Fortunately for him, his first fight is against a man who's quirk has no battle capabilities. Shinso uses his brainwash ability on Deku and it nearly works, but the power of One for All inside of Deku snapped him out of the trance.

9 VS. GENTLE

After several days of preparing for the U.A. School Festival, Deku runs into an enemy intent on increasing the profile of his name by attacking U.A. High. This battle was perfect coming out of so many high stakes moments, as it embodies what makes Deku such a likable character.

This doesn't even have to be a particularly serious battle—Gentle's aim is to attack a place where he has the highest percentage chance of getting caught. But after dealing with so many major battles back to back, Deku refuses to allow one person's need for fame to ruin the day his classmates have spent so many days preparing for.

8 VS. NIGHTEYE

A hilarious battle between Deku and All Might's former assistant. Deku needs to gain the opportunity to do a work-study with Nighteye, but Nighteye is unwilling to respect Deku as All Might's successor. This results in Deku going up against Nighteye in a one on one battle, which should end in Deku's easy success after he's mastered Full Cowl, but Nighteye can read all of his movements, making victory a nearly impossible goal.

What saves Deku, in the end, is his analytical mind. His ability to constantly think about what's happening around him, whether he's flustered or outmatched, gives him the opportunity he needs.

7 DEKU AND OCHACO VS. BAKUGOU AND IIDA

This battle happens so early on in the series Deku barely has any idea how to use his powers without injuring himself. Essentially powerless, he's placed against two of the strongest members of Class 1-A with nothing other than his own tactical abilities and Ochaco's powers.

Ultimately, it isn't powers that save the day, but Deku's knowledge of his old friend Bakugou's limitations, combined with the ability to manipulate the rules to succeed at their goal even if it doesn't mean winning the fight. This battle showed that with Deku it isn't the powers, it's the person behind them, that matters.

6 VS. SHOTO TODOROKI

Todoroki vs. Izuku

This battle could have gone done entirely differently if Deku had mastered Full Cowl first. After narrowly surviving through the U.A. Sports Festival's Obstacle Race, Calvary Battle, and even the first round of the battle tournament, Deku comes up against the true ace of Class 1-A, Shoto Todoroki. The two of them seem surprisingly even, as Deku's learned how to localize the destructive effects of All for One to smaller bodyparts.

Unfortunately for him, it's then that we learn that Todoroki has been holding back, using only half of his power to bring no pride to his father's name. Though Deku's unable to win this battle, he proves he's capable of getting through even to other heroes, pushing them to change and become better versions of themselves.

5 VS. MUSCULAR

The kids of U.A. can't even go training without getting attacked by some villains. When their summer training camp comes under attack, it's up to the kids to keep themselves safe while waiting on help. But Deku winds up chasing after a young boy who's parents were once heroes before being murdered, and comes face to face with their murderer!

This battle happens after Deku had acquired Full Cowl, the ability to utilize a fraction of All Might's power without injuring himself. Unfortunately, Muscular's power is far too much for a mere 5 percent, or even 100 percent! The strength-focused villain requires Deku to embody his school's goals and push even further beyond, utilizing the 1,000,000 percent Detroit Smash to get the victory.

4 CLASS 1-A VS. CLASS 1-B

During the recent Joint Training Battle, Class 1-A and Class 1-B wind up going against one another in combat. In the final round, we watch Bakugou take down his enemies that makes it seem effortless. With expectations set high, Deku is forced to try and take on the members of Class 1-B and get a clean sweep, same as Bakugou.

This arc shows the culmination of Deku's abilities, with him taking down the powerful Class 1-B members thanks to his intelligence and the trust his classmates have for him.  It also shows Deku learn about a new set of abilities lurking within the power of One for All, making it not only a great fight in general, but fascinating from a plot perspective as well.

3 DEKU, IIDA, AND TODOROKI VS. STAIN

Immediately after mastering Full Cowl, the power to use a small amount of All for One continuously without harming himself, Deku gets thrown into his most serious fight yet. When the class representative Tenya gets himself into trouble hunting the Hero Killer to get revenge for his brother, it's up to Deku to try and save his classmate.

This battle gave us three of the best characters in Class 1-A standing up against a villain who countered their superior numbers with far superior experience, technique, and willingness to harm them in battle. Still, thanks to his determination to protect his friends, they manage to arrest Stain and survive.

2 DEKU AND BAKUGOU VS. ALL MIGHT

Deku and Bakugou vs All Might

The two heroes with absolutely nothing in common find themselves going up against the Symbol of Peace himself. This battle has absolutely everything it needs, from the hilarious scene of All Might pretending to be a villain to Bakugou finally getting the humbling he needs in combat, as All Might really aims to make them feel like they're in a fight.

This battle seems impossible at first, especially since Bakugou dislikes working alongside Midoriya more than any other classmate. In the end, Deku's refusal to leave even his biggest rival behind is rewarded, as he manages to save Bakugou and escape, allowing them to pass their exam.

1 DEKU VS. OVERHAUL

During Deku's time in Work Study, he and many of the other students from Class 1-A on a raid on the Shie Hassakai yakuza. While plenty of adult heroes go with them for the mission, in the end, it comes down to Deku against the leader of that yakuza group, Overhaul.

Thanks to the child saved though, we were treated to one of the best battles MHA's ever had. With her using her quirk, Deku's able to use One of All at full power for the duration of the battle, giving us a glimpse at what he might look like when he finally comes of age.
